New Beauty Box - Marie Claire's The Parcel opening and quick review

There's a new beauty box in town for Australians, The Parcel by Marie Claire is a quarterly beauty box and I feel like it's gotten off to a good start.

I've looked into a few beauty boxes and even tried some but they're honestly pretty terrible and just not worth the money.  I found myself getting absurd amount of skin and hair care samples and very little actual make up goods or full sized goods.
The Parcel had some good advertising, comes from a strong background and revealed some solid products in the line up.  At $25 per box, it's slightly pricier than some of the other beauty boxes around however if the quality of the contents keep up, then it's a pretty good deal.  You can also buy just one box rather than lock in a subscription which is a great idea considering a lot of complaints regarding the other beauty boxes are issues with subscriptions (I'm looking at you BellaBox)

The sleek packaging that the parcel came in.  I was advised that shipping dates for the spring edition would be between the 6th-22nd of October.  I received an email early on to advise that my Parcel was shipped and received it on the 15th in the morning.

Here's the full contents laid out.

L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray - Purse Sized (RRP $4.95) - I am unlikely to use this item as my last can of hairspray lasted in cupboard for about 3 years, oops!  I may gift this to a friend though because it seems like an alright item.

Gwen Stefani by O.P.I Nail Lacquer - Full Size (RRP $19.95) - I was really excited when I saw this product being included in The Parcel, sadly I got given what's possibly the ugliest O.P.I polish haha! I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover though, I'll give this a whirl.

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner & Mascara - Deluxe Sample Size (full sized liner RRP $35 and full sized mascara RRP $38) - these were the products that actually introduced me to The Parcel.  I think by now most readers will know I'm not a fan of the They're Real Liner but I do really like the mascara so that will be handy.

Pantene Pro-V Shampoo & Conditioner - Sample Size (RRP $4.99) - this is listed as a bonus item that doesn't contribute to the overall value of the box.  Pretty neat but my hair is frizzy and doesn't like sulfates so I might also re-gift this!

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain - Full Size (RRP $25.95) - I love this product, I already have a couple of ColorStay Moisture Stains (although I wait for them to go on sale because like hell am I paying $25.95 for a lip product that can be found in Priceline).  The colour is Rio which is a bright pink and not quite my style but I might keep it for some bright summer looks.

Lancome Visionaire Advanced Skin Corrector - Sample 7ml Size (Full Size RRP $97!) - Normally I'm not chuffed about skin care samples because I've settled on my routine but this is an interesting and luxe product so I'm keen to give it a try.  I've calculated the price per ml for this product and this sample actually weighs in at roughly $22 RRP!  Holy crap, this stuff better be miraculous.

Total Value: Estimated to be over $80AUD! I've factored in rough prices for the deluxe sizes based on what their full size cost was.

Overall despite not personally feeling most of the items, I can't fault the value at all with 2 full sized products retailing over the price of the box itself.  I am eager to try the summer box and I would definitely recommend signing up!
